Featured artist Danny Diamond shares about his mural painting and connection to Santa Cruz:
“I’m a professional mural artist from the Boston area. I’ve been traveling to Santa Cruz since 2008; these days I reside here during the winter months. I started painting walls in ’01 on the east coast. I have created murals at Ferrell’s on the Westside, the (now defunct) Greenhouse Studio, and for several private clients. In Massachusetts, I have recently created pieces for Kokeshi Restaurant, Backyard Growers, and Prince Insurance among others; my work has been featured in the Boston Globe. I use primarily low-pressure spray-paint to create my paintings.”
“I’ve been traveling here as often as I can since ’08. I love the landscape, the vibe, and the wonderful people here. I lived up in the Santa Cruz mountains for a while; these days I spend the winter months living and painting here.”
