Local artist Ali DeMoro shares about her Wirework Seagrass Jewelry:
“Wirework is a hobby I picked up in the last year and felt an instant connection to it. You could say I picked it up and ran with it… My jewelry business spread through word of mouth and soon I was giving and selling pieces to friends and family…and soon to extended communities beyond that.”
“I recently decided to take it to the next level and open an Etsy store. Now my job has been to extend awareness not just in my own community but now to an online community.”
“I was born and raised here in Santa Cruz County (Aptos). I proceeded to then go to college here at UCSC and continued to get jobs here. My roots here run deep. And coincidentally, all the sea glass I use in my jewelry is found on the beaches here in Santa Cruz which isn’t an easy task.”
