The exhibition and raffle event highlight the work and people that make Santa Cruz renowned for expanding the arts and legendary for evolving skate culture. En masse, the decks represent the County’s diverse artistry. Individually, they reflect the unique personalities and creative styles of each artist. The artists have made blank, wood decks (donated by local skateboard company, NHS) their “canvas”, embellishing them with bold characters, vibrant colors, and expressive patterns.

On June 14th from 6-8pm, the public is invited to the Artists’ Reception, where visitors can buy more raffle tickets and shake the 23 creative hands that have designed the original boards. The final First Friday and Raffle Drawing will be held on July 7th from 6-8pm, when lucky raffle winners will get to take home one of these imaginative custom-designed decks.
