After my last progress post on this piece, I had a burst of inspiration to add the woven panels on the side. I feel like they really helped to bring the piece together.
The final step in the completion of the pendant was to add the bail. I had designed the piece to have one thick wire coming out of the top. I used that wire as a center point and added another wire on either side of it. Then, I created a weave in between the three wires. I bent that section back and secured it to the back of the piece. That creates the loop for a chain to hang off of the pendant.
This piece came out more asymmetrical than I had planned, but in the end I think that adds a bit to the style that is created by using mostly raw, uncut stones.
