Woodworker, Joey Kochlacs, shares with us his beautiful Madrone and Walnut furniture series!
“I saw locally salvaged logs into lumber, then build custom furniture. The trees are often windfall, hazard or otherwise sustainably sourced. I have a chainsaw mill and a bandsaw mill on family land in Boulder Creek as well as a woodshop on the West Side of Santa Cruz.”
“I live and work in Santa Cruz. My grandfather’s aunt was married to William T. Jeter, a former mayor of Santa Cruz and prominent conservationist of that era.”
