Progress: Crown Construction

This is the central piece that I will attach to the bare crown.

This week I finished bringing all of the stone elements together. Pictured above is the central piece that I will attach to the bare crown.

I choose to wrap all of the pieces together before attaching them to the crown instead of wrapping each piece on individually.

Here is where I began this week’s progress.

I laid all of the components out to get a clear idea of how I would piece them together.

Sometimes I will also draw while I am working to help myself develop the shapes that I want to create with the wire. Making a drawing alongside the stones really helps me visualize my process.

After successfully attaching all the stones together, I feel like I have good momentum to finish the crown next week. I am excited to share the finished product.
