Making Waves at The Idea Fab Lab
Last month, Idea Fab Labs Santa Cruz hosted its very first themed art exhibition – Making Waves. The free, all-ages event was held inside the creative and social hub of the Lab, located on the 2nd floor of the Wrigley Building.
The themed art exhibition on December 9th coincided with the Westside Holiday Bazaar. This new seasonal event welcomed the public to wander the ever-evolving Wrigley Building hallways, galleries, studios, and businesses, support local vendors, and connect with our inspiring community of artists and craftsmen.
Making Waves featured work by members of Idea Fab Labs (IFL), who are given access to high-tech tools and design software, collaborative opportunities, and extensive use of the “makerspace” to bring ideas and work to life. The exhibition was proof of the diversity of artists and art media enriching Santa Cruz, as well as the innovative opportunities and modern equipment available in IFL’s creation zone.
